Bravo! Bravo!! 63:365

On March 3, 1585 the Olympic Theatre (Teatro Olimpico) in Vicenza, Italy designed by Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio, was inaugurated. This kind of Renaissance structure is the sole survivor of its kind to survive until contemporary times.

HA! We were just talking about Palladio at work. Wow, doesn't that sound all high-falutin' and fancy? :) Palladio is the architecht referred to when people speak of "Palladian" architecture, windows specifically. People who like to pretend they know what they are talking about often call it "palladium windows". Palladium is an element on the periodic table and not a window style.

Do you even get these comments?
